Default No plugins under C4D R11?

I finally have time to get back to C4D and after installing I found out that the plugins just don't work. I even checked, that they are for R11 and also are the 32-Bit versions (as far as this was possible). I have copied them in the plugins folder but nothing happens - they don't show up under the plugin section and I don't get any errors on startup. Any clues what this could be? System is a C2D running on Vista 32-Bit with 4 GB RAM.

That's real strange. I had that same thing happen but my issue was that I was running the 64 bit .exe and not the 32 bit one. Of course I am on a 64 bit OS so that doesn't sound like that's your issue.

After initially launching Cinema, take a look in "Window->Console" to see if you can find any clues.

Thanks for your reply - I have found the reason for my problem. I kept copying the plugins in the "plugins" folder within my installation. For some reason things seem to be different in Vista though.
You have to go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R11_79C2D4E5 and create a directory called "plugins". This where you have to copy the plugs and everything is fine ...

Oh yeah, forgot about that one. Keep in mind also that anything you add to your "user presets" like materials and what-not will also go in that directory. So back it up if you reformat!

Glad you got it sorted.
